You're Causing A Scene' is the first release by the Phoenix, Arizona based five piece rock outfit, Ticker Tape Parade. At the tender age of 8 months, Ticker Tape Parade has already established itself at the top of the Arizona music scene, playing with such touring acts as No Knife, Midtown, and The Promise Ring among others, as well as local friends Jimmy Eat World. At four months old, TTP completed it's first west coast tour with The Stereo. With a CD release party that attracted over 500 paying guests, along with a strong commitment and work ethic, you could say TTP is far ahead of the curve. Another west coast tour is scheduled to begin on the 14th of February, with plans to head east in March. TTP walks the line between music as a candy bar and music as a well aged wine, finding a way to deliver both with one bite (slurp). This music is thoughtful and dynamic, with the focus on sing along choruses and guitar hooks that make the group sound like it could be the bastard progeny of AC/DC and Radiohead. If you are looking to get rocked, you will undoubtedly be rocked. If you are someone who needs a little more to chew on, you will feed to your hearts content. Simply put, these are catchy rock songs delicately prepared. Influences range from U2 to Fugazi, from AC/DC to Low, from The Flaming Lips to Quicksand, from Jane's Addiction to Red House Painters.
