The Finals are a five-piece band hailing from northern New Jersey. Having been a part of the local scene and members of several other bands, Jason Sazer (guitar/vocals), Matt Reilly (bass/vocals), Lou Bottone (guitar), Joshua Sazer (drums) and Christian Kisala (keyboards) formed in the summer of 2003 and have since dedicated themselves to writing new and original music. The Finals draw from a vast pool of influences and utilize unique tones and structures to create a sound that is melodic, while never ordinary. The band's originality is showcased in their approach to songwriting, recording and performing music. In their short period of time as a band the Finals have shared the stage with the likes of Autopilot Off, Classic Case, Midtown and Stars Hide Fire. They have played venues such as Maxwell's in New Jersey and both The Chance Theater and Knitting Factory in New York. With the release of their debut EP, "Long Story Short," on Stab Me Recordings the Finals are determined to stand out, while making a name for themselves as a band with diversity, energy and longevity.
