The debut album "As Is" from Otherguy Drive has been described as "a smooth combo of Dave Matthews and Jennier Knapp, with hints of Dashboard Confessional, Third Day, and Jars of Clay." This raw, acoustic rock album is inspired by faith and has enough hook to keep you hitting the repeat button over and over again.

Now a five person band, Otherguy Drive is working on a new album due out in June 2004. On the first album, As Is, the music and instrumentation behind Otherguy Drive is stripped down to simplicity. The purity of sound, combined with the passionate lyrics results in an overwhelming honesty that matches the "journal entry" style of writing found in the music of Jennifer Knapp or Dashboard Confessional.

This band, founded on the Christian faith, appeals to a much wider audience than you would think. No label can be put on the attendees of OGD concerts, because they range from 16-year-old Mindless Self Indulgence fans, to 50-year-old listeners of contemporary Christian music. Much of this is due to the fact that the songs on this album are written from the heart, with no other purpose than to share emotions. As a listener, you know exactly what the band is feeling with every song. You can share in their joys and sympathize with the sufferings.

Each individual track holds enough passion and emotion to be considered a favorite, and the album as a whole leaves listeners feeling uplifted and encouraged. This is one album that will find it's way into your permanent disc-changer rotation.
