Maryland is not always the place most people associate with good alternative music. Seemingly slow to get out of the gate with an intro track that lays a child's voice overtop of interesting sonic diversions, Orchard pound with percussive passion and Yorke-ian vocal whinery only to give way to shredded cabbage for vocal screeches. Ranging from easy comparisons to My Bloody Valentine to more adrenaline rockers like the garage rock that's been taking the mainstream scene by storm lately, Orchard remains hard to pin down.
