Three young men, two cities, one band: North Point. Over the course of approximately three years Justin Clark, bassist/vocalist; Ethan Grove, guitarist/vocalist; and Erick Sherman, drummer, experimented in multiple styles and incarnations of what would one day evolve into North Point. Beginning in Erick's basement as a metal cover band entitled Jerk, the three played their way through a constantly changing cast of musicians. After two years of musical mud, the tenacious trio tried a new approach: punk. After temporarily moving  to Justin's basement, the group eventually progressed into something more original. From a house in southern Hammond, IN, Ethan achieved good grades in school, attended church every sunday, and played bass in his church band. Learning guitar and piano through private lessons, his skill grew as did his age. Ethan's background brings a more harmonic tone to the trio. The glue of the group, Justin, grew up in Downtown Hammond, IN. Without him, Ethan and Erick may never have met. Pulling the two together for their first practice, Justin's tendency to organize all matters served well in bringing about the band. Hailing from a computer-literate family, his programming and web-designing skills not only stuck him in the position of webmaster, but also as the unifying element of the band. As the band progressed, he moved from guitar to bass, all the while managing the mic. Behind the beats of nearly every band stands a different individual. Before North Point, Erick hated punk and lived in Hammond. Shortly after moving to Munster, IN, and through constant jamming with Ethan and Justin, he discovered what it took to rock a beat. With a family full of musicians and an interest in journalism, the young drummer filled the group's percussive position. One year and four recording sessions following North Point's conception, the three guys turned friends and bandmates form one cohesive, catchy musical experience. With the release of Private Displays of Emotion nearing its due date, the band rocks on, creating new music and turning more heads at every gig Check out the artist's website: http://www.northpointmusic.com Track List: 1.
