Mixing equal parts of influential ingredients from ClockHammer, Big Drill Car, early Amy Grant and James Taylor, The Descendents and Diffuser, The Winner delivers a punch-out-your-windshield hand of music sonically and emotionally. 2001 saw their first studio release ("All But Snatched Away") on JerkRecords and now the summer of 2002 will see a brand new ep ("Paint Me Fine and Free") from MTW bursting with pummelling guitars and Juicy-Fruit-Gum-Commercial hooks.
