Moody electric overtones, melodic bass lines and driving drums intertwine with crisp, acoustic guitar and piano in the four-piece, female-fronted rock ensemble, Adora Rising. Having recently released their first full-length album "Gravity," the band is now extensively touring the upper mid-west and building a fan base one city at a time.

The band formed in late 2004 when singer/songwriter Shelly Fraley decided to expand her solo career. Through a fellow musician she met drummer Brad Horner who shared a common interest in persuing music as a full-time job. The duet soon added bassist/violinist Sasha Feryok and lead guitarist John Hobson to complete the sound of Adora Rising.

With influences that vary from blues to alt rock to bluegrass, Adora Rising combines basic rock with soothing vocals and subtle folk influences. Complete with hook heavy melodies and catchy lyrics, Adora Rising captures the essence of the musicians whom they love: Coldplay, Muse, Damien Rice, Alison Krauss, Government Mule, John Mayer, Radiohead, Dave Matthews and Gemma Hayes. "The flood gates have opened to allow some fresh rock into our breathing space. Shelly Fraley's sultry vocals have guided me to bliss from start to finish. You are getting an eclectic blend with this red hot performance by Adora Rising."
