3 - THUMBNAIL BIO:

3 is a five-piece rock/pop band based in the legendary arts colony of Woodstock, New York. The group came together in the early 1990's, appearing as teen-agers at the Woodstock '94 Festival in Saugerties, New York; they returned to play the Woodstock '99 Festival in Rome, New York.

3's debut CD recording, "Paint By Number," was released in 2000 and received national and international radio promotion, airplay and sales. The band's highly-anticipated follow-up, a live album, "Half Life," was released in the fall of 2002 and a second studio CD, "Summercamp Nightmare" came out in the fall of 2003. The band's new, studio release, "Wake Pig" is scheduled for release in October, 2004 (all CDs on Planet Noise Records). Frontman, Joey Eppard has also released a solo CD, "been to the future" (December, 2002) and has just completed a second solo project with reknowned drummer, Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney).

3 toured with Coheed & Cambria in 2003 and will be going our again on Coheed's Fall 2004 Tour (also featuring UnderOATH). The band and Joey have opened shows for Leon Russell, Spencer Davis, K's Choice, Rusted Root, Fishbone, Spearhead, Jeffrey Gaines and several shows with classic-rock icons, Heart. Joey has also worked with established acts such as P-Funk and Bad Brains (as well as current, nouveau-funk outfit, Drugs), which has taken him to European venues for recording and touring dates. His work on the CD,"You, My Baby & I," by European artist, Alex Gopher, led to use of the track "Time" (featuring Joey's vocal performance) in a television commercial for Miller Beer.

Joey is featured as writer and performer on the 2003 Virgin Records release, "Clean " by French 'house music' recording artist, Cosmo Vitelli. The single, "Robot Soul," from the album (co-written and sung by Joey) was featured in a live appearance by Joey on the French television show, Traffic Musique. Joey is also as a musician/sponsor for Ovation Guitars.
