Rearview Visionaries is a collection of songs written and performed by the employees of Union Cab of Madison. Few of us can experience, so directly, the urban "reality" our cab drivers face every day and night. Capturing this unique perspective musically from those that live it was the object and challenge of this project. The result was both unexpected and refreshing. A truely remarkable journey from those that drive us. The collection features songs from many different genres including Metal, pop, psychedelic and even folk. The artists on the CD, as well as being cab drivers (for the same company Butch Vig of Garbage once worked for), range from professional working musicians, who have either gigged extensively in Madison or even nation wide to weekend warriors who have been woodshedding for years.
