Southern Rock, Rock. Tow Truck formed in 1998 in the town of Rothsay Minnesota. Rothsay is a small farming community, population 450, and is located about 200 miles south of the Canadian border. The band didn't let that stop them from writing the kind of music that has influenced and inspired them. We are talking about music from the real south, with sounds of harmony guitars, solid drums and driving bass. Tow Truck emits these sounds on stage and through their recorded work, playing off their influences, from southern rock to the blues. They have developed their sound, which they describe as Roots Rock, a combination of straight ahead rock, blues and southern rock. With solid drums and a driving bass, the foundation is set for the guitars to sing their harmonies, add some gravely vocals and an acoustic guitar, you've just brewed up a full dose of Tow Truck Tom and the Roadside Wrecks. January of 2000, Tow Truck hit the studio to record 20 Gallon Disaster, their debut cd. With inspiration from fans, friends, and the Wrecks (Tow Trucks immediate family) they hit the studio for their second effort, entitled Sophomore Slump. Tow Truck has hit the road and is performing their music with inspiration and enthusiasm. Come catch a show and listen for yourself. Tow Truck has just finished recording their 3rd Cd entitled "Rope Wire Chain" and that will be available very soon. Check us out at towtrucktom@indiegroup.com.
