Tony V's Introspection or just Introspection for short plays various styles of music ranging from Blues, Various Rock styles, and some classic R&B all with a new fire and sound. Whether they're playing covers or originals, these guys can whip up some hot material with the goal of having the audience wanting more. Part of the spice to their music menu is playing music people know and enjoy. In addition, playing material, which is not often played or not played at all, and yet having the audience groove and approve to the selections. Tony Villalba (Tony V) - Plays acoustic and electric guitars and sings lead and backup vocals. He has played professionally in two other bands within 10 years as well as doing various music side projects. Bands such as Absolute R&B featuring The All Shot Horns, an R&B, Blues and Classic Rock 10 piece band. They have played many places around Connecticut as well as frequent shows at the Wind Jammer in Rhode Island and playing for the Navy College Reunion in Washington D.C. Absolute R&B has also opened up for strong popular local acts as Gary and the Mood Swingers and out of state acts such as Barrence Whitfield and the Savages from Massachusetts. They had the privilege to open up for The Average White Band in Massachusetts. Tony has also played with Down and Out, A Blues, R&B and Rock group, which played mostly the Hartford and Middlesex County clubs. He has performed with the New England Chamber Choir playing classical guitar. In the Fall of 1999 Introspection opened up for Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood at Cioppino's Bar and Grill and the turnout was excellent. Introspection won some new listeners and potential followers from the Texas Flood side. This year Tony has been a guest a couple of times on the web radio station: The Naked Jazz Show with Host John Resler. Even though Tony is not 100% influenced by Jazz, John liked Tony's Style/sound of his music and thought it deserves to go on the air. The Naked Jazz show reaches audiences world wide and listeners can call in to make a request or talk to the live performing artists.
