History is made as the world-traveled rock-n-roll road scholar Rev. Down returns to join forces with bass giant Jerry Scheff, an industry icon who's credits include sessions with the likes of Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, and too many more to mention. In Memphis, the Rev. met Ma Rainy and Rufus Thomas playing clubs on its historic Beale Street. "Ma Rainy was singing from a chair, but she could still make the walls in that place sway with her voice" he says. And, as if rubbing elbows with musical icons was not enough, on his third and final day in Memphis, The Rev. gathered up a palm full of faded white paint chips flaked from the corner of the Sun Records studio building where Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis among many, many more legends had recorded.
