Prodgeneses TM evolved in 2002 from the core of the Black Diamond Band. This group formed in 1997 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA. There were originally just 3 members, ( JP ) Phil Manovsky, lead guitar and vocals, Buddy Knight, persussions and vocals, and John Chitwood, bass guitar and vocals. Collectively, the band performed at local venues playing copy music of other recording artists. Our music layed in the middle of the road, blues, country and rock & roll. Laurel Benjamin, keyboards & vocals joined the group. We changed our name to, Prodgeneses TM, meaning: " Something Extraordinary That Is Becoming Mighty and Intense." TM The name and meaning was created by (JP) Phil Manovsky and Laurel Benjamin, Trademarked & Copyrighted with the US Library of Congress Copyright Office, Washington, D.C. USA. Prodgeneses TM was born when each of us decided that playing someone else's music was unacceptable. Each of us brings a different perspective to the mix. Our differences are exactly what makes us a cohesive musical group. We blend theses differences and compliment the skills and talents of each other. Prodgeneses TM began recording the Experiment CD Album on September 15,2002. The cd album was completed December 24,2002. We decided to go back and remix our music in July 2003. THE SECOND STUDY CD Album was born, 11 tracks of tastfully remixed Prodgeneses TM original music. Prodgeneses TM hopes you enjoy our words and music our own way. May 2005, Prodgeneses TM evolved into a classic rock music machine. Phil and laurel decided to re-group. They located the former members of the OAK CITY BAND, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Phil played lead guitar for this band back in 1974. Former OAK CITY BAND drummer, Terry Zimmerman was summoned to perform as the lead singer and percussionist, Dale ( Buzzy ) Payton, former bass guitarist was summoned. Former OAK CITY BAND Manager Bill May was recruited to take control of the band as it's Marketing / Sales Manager. Charlie Arebalo, former bass guitarist for The Stone Fox Band,The Gary Gibson Band, and The South Hard Style Band, joined the Prodgeneses TM as it's bass guitarist. Prodgeneses TM, is now reborn to bring to you the sounds of the 1970's-80's classic rock music.
