Artist description
Sounds like "Pop Rock for Children" but it isn't...

Musical Influences
Bob Dylan, Nick Cave

Artist History
Named after the childhood nickname of lead singer Melissa Sonnen, POOSA's sound is a sing-song trip through a mind preoccupied with a long-lost love across the sea. We walk the seashore longing for "E the G" (Erwin the German, that is) singing through the seasons to the ocean, the moon, eventually chalking the whole thing up to experience and adding the whole affair to a collection of cherished memories. The band, consisting of famous world-class twin cities drummer Jason Deming (Beangirl, the Odd, Peeling Wheelie), Minneapolis spaz guitar hero Rob Stealcheat (Squidballs, Touchy Feely) and (since departed) bassist Micheal Kane, cover a wide spectrum of sounds. They employ various shakers, dingers, cheesy keyboards and bongos along with their main instruments with amazing grace and skill. Special guests on the album include Dale Kallman (Tulip Sweet, Ol' Yeller) on the trombone and piano, and the Flowerpothead himself Rich Mattson adding a touch of harmonica and percussion.
