Phonic rapture: For 15 years the music industry has had a gaping hole between the exhibitionism of 80’s stadium bands and the earnest musicianship produced from the Seattle scene of the early 90's. May 2006 will see the release of Phonic Rapture’s debut album “Dirty Dreams of the Filthy Rich†and its subsequent promotional UK tour. Following on from previous EP releases, “Distilled & Refined†and “Just In Timeâ€, DDotFR will be a 12 track album, showcasing the full range of Phonic Rapture’s song-writing ability, while capturing the energy of their live shows. Since the bands inception at the start of 2004, Phonic Rapture have been no strangers to the road, completing just under 100 shows in 2 years. Notably playing dates at The Clapham Grand, The Bull & Gate, Rockingham Speedway and The Jailhouse, while also securing support slots with The Suffrajets, Fandangle, and The Renegade Playboys. The Band also completed 2 tours in 2005. The Scream tour, a sponsored series of shows at venues operating under the “It’s a Scream†franchise, was completed in August. This was swiftly followed by Phonic Rapture’s self-funded “Indecent Exposure†tour, consisting of 15 dates during September.
