crushcoat comes along like something you've missed. Their genre is a hybrid- the voices of a singer/songwriter, the music smashing and intense; then suddenly passive but still in control. With no comparisons made, if you like the Screaming Trees, David Gray, U2, the Stones, you'll like crushcoat.

Over the past few years, shaping and identifying what crushcoat is and has to offer, the band has begun understanding it's presence in music. The trail from inception of a song to the effect on the listener has remained one. No divergence. crushcoat wants you to feel as they feel; pause as they pause. Hold your breath for a time.

...a party, people talking and mingling. Then heads turn to the guitar sound. Music. You feel the rhythm section. Sultry grooves entwined in pounding drums pull the fluids around the room... Then the voice strikes you. crushcoat is the vice of happy, weeping souls.

crushcoat is poised to move people with the summer release of their debut full-length, Monster Platoon.

crushcoat consists of four members: Nathaniel Breed (vocals, piano, guitar), Michael Neugent (guitars), Michael Hommel (drums) and Aaron Darwin (bass). These four talented individuals unite as a whole to produce music that will give you moods and hold on to you, both rhythmically and lyrically.
