This band is fronted by singer/songwriter Adam Kowalczyk. Adam has been playing rhythm guitar as a touring member with the rock band band LIVE for the past 4 years. This debut album from Adam and the Weight is an enhanced CD featuring 11 audio tracks as well as two music videos viewable on your computer using Quicktime. It also has a link to a special page on the La Priest website where you can download a bonus audio version of the "Light of Memory" video which is not contained in the album's 11 audio tracks. The band also features Brentt Arcement on drums and background vocals, Michael Anderson on lead guitar and Omarr Escoffie on bass. The album, recorded and mixed at the Record Plant in Hollywood, was produced by Brentt Arcement for La Priest Productions and Adam Kowalczyk and co-produced by Rob Beaton. Executive Producer Glenn Schusterman was the driving force behind making this album a reality. "Looking Up From the Ground" has a strong lyrical presence with everything from guitar driven anthems to electrical ballads and even to Adam playing two solo acoustical ballads including one as a music video. On track 4 you'll find a guest apperence by Adam's older brother and singer from LIVE, Ed Kowalczyk. All songs were written and composed by Adam Kowalczyk with the exception of "About Today" which was written by Adam Kowalczyk and Brentt Arcement.
