Jon Worley of Aiding & Abetting said "One moment you're in Sixteen Horsepower country, and the next you're slogging through the fields of June of '44. And then Randell and pals let go, and I can't even explain anything anymore." Worley also called an earlier release "horrifically inventive," and we are not sure if that is a compliment or not. Boston's 'The Noise' listed Windmill as one of the top 10 artists to watch in 2004 and described Windmill as "ultra-pretty bright and glittery riffage."
