Bobby Gonzales - Vocals, Guitar Jimmy Harrison - Bass, Mandolin James O'Connell - Drums Chris Parker - Lead Guitar Jason De Meo - Vocals, Guitar Born out of a love for country and rock music this Los Angeles quintet has become one of Southern California's most innovative and genre crossing bands. Formed in the summer of 2002 by Bobby Gonzales and Jimmy Harrison, these former band mates were looking to do something musically closer to the sounds they had found themselves being drawn to. "Bobby and I had found ourselves drifting more and more into roots based music," Jimmy recalls. With the addition of good friend Jason De Meo soon thereafter the three set out to create the music and sound that would become West Coast Grand. "When Jason joined us we knew we had that key element needed to solidify this project," Gonzales adds. After stumbling onto the country rock scene in Los Angeles they soon gathered a loyal following along with a family of other like minded musicians with the same interests and focus. "We walked into the King King club one night and discovered that country rock existed in LA," Jimmy enthuses. With the addition of Chris Parker and James O'Connell West Coast Grand had now become a full fledged band. They had recorded a few songs at Monkey Den Studios in Silverlake, CA as a three piece and now had the means to play them true to form in the local clubs that had begun fostering this underground but burgeoning scene. "We needed a couple of other players to pull it off live and since this band was more friends based than anything else Chris and James were the obvious choices," Gonzales says. Now with the release of their first full length album on their own label Grand Coast Records along with guest appearances on Doc Holiday's "Watusi Rodeo" on Indie 103.1 and Cowboy Nick's "Toe Tappin Music" radio show on KXLU West Coast Grand is about to set out and let the rest of the world know about this band and the kind of music they play. -----------------------Quotes------------------------ "One of the best country-rock groups that southern California has to offer" - Cowboy Nick, host of "Twang!" On KCSN 88.5 FM & "Toe Tappin' Music" KXLU 88.9 FM "West Coast Grand have quickly become one of my favorites in the LA Country Rock scene. They're hard workin', good lookin', fine musicians and write damn good songs! We put one of my favorite tracks, "Last Train Home" on our Sin City Social Club Vol. 6 sampler and have been getting great feedback so far." - Shilah Morrow, President/Founder of Sin City Music A sophisticated blend of AM - era Wilco, Steve Earle and the elegant simplicity of Gram Parsons. By far one of the best records I've heard this year! - Rick Ballard, Acetate Records For info visit www.westcoastgrand.com Contact us at info@westcoastgrand.com Check out the artist's website: http://www.westcoastgrand.com Track List: 1.
