The debut full-lenth from Fort Worth's The Theater Fire is an unique out-cropping in the landscape of Texas music. Carefully combining traditional country music influences with mariachi, folk, and blues-infused rock the band creates a complex and layered sound which is at the same time sparse and well-focused. Forget all you know about "cowboy-chic", this is modern Texas music. The band are masterful storytellers weaving tales of gamblers, lonely travelers, and murdered children. This blends with the music to create a dusty, faded mood. Like strange dreamy desert landscapes the music passes slowly by. The Theater Fire have grown into a mainstay in the North Texas music scene deserving of national attention. The band is composed of seven members who have played together in various incarnations since 200.
