Sheffer Stephens is a Boston-based musician with a style that embraces roots rock, alt. country, soul, old-time music, and a bit of straight up rock n' roll. After having a dream about stick people building a star while automobiles shot across the sky of a surreal desert landscape, Sheffer decided to name the recording he had been working on "Shooting Cars, Building Stars". Similarly, the recording is a playful landscape of songs, moody, soulful, and story telling.
