Hailing from New York City, LEROY JUSTICE is a southern and alt-country blend of rock and roll. Built upon the rock anthems and folk ballads of lead man Jason Gallagher, LEROY have been playing their "bourbon rock" in and around Manhattan for the past year.

The band's influences range from the Rolling Stones to Bob Dylan, and sometimes dig as deep as Otis Redding or Tony Rice. While one night with LEROY might be a melodic ballad showcase with acoustic guitars, piano, and mandolin, another might punch you right in the chest with overdriven guitars and a screaming Hammond B3 organ.

In just over a year, LEROY have managed to play the 2003 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX while holding down gigs all over the east coast, most notably at NYC's most prestigious rock clubs. They opened for Rich Robinson's new band Hookah Brown at SXSW, and are regulars at the NYC roots rock club Tobacco Road, where they have gigged with Peaceful Knievel. Leroy's early days saw them open for the fathers of southern rock, Molly Hatchet, at B.B. King's Blues Club, and then ring in the new year at CBGB. LJ has also stomped the likes of Mercury Lounge, Arlene Grocery, and the Hard Rock Cafe.
