HARP MAGIZINE (Staff Pick):

"Cop-doggin', beer-swiggin' country rock from Louisville. The song Rearview Mirror is priceless."

SANTA MONICA MIRROR:

"High-grade Kentucky cowpunk straight outta Louisville."

COUNTRY STANDARD TIME:

" A very promising debut."

MILES OF MUSIC:

"Hell's ½ Acre combine elements of Hillbilly, Rockabilly, Billy Beer and Billy Goats (presumably for the sacrifice) to create their edgy, twangy Southern rock."

SORTA LIKE THE CLASH MEETS THE EVERLY BROTHERS MEETS THAT INBRED BOY FROM DELIVERENCE.

Hell's 1/2 Acre's first album "Blacktops & Blackouts" is a cornicopia of twang, rockabilly, hillbilly and country recorded in early 2003 in Louisville, Kentucky.

While they've been getting rave reviews for their 2004 alt country release "Under a Whiskey Moon" featuring Andy York and produced by Mike Wanchic (both of Mellencamp), this debut CD offer up good, hard-ass, bar room twang.

2004 release "Under a whiskey moon" also available at CD Baby or the Hell's 1/2 Acre Website.
