We play original rock with a strong folk and traditional influence, some rock, some blues. We play old instruments - -lap steel guitar, bowed upright bass - through old amps. Mike, our drummer is a guy who knows what dynamics are. He can play big rock drums and stir the soup with the brushes. Mike, our bass player, plays a big stand up bass and some electric.

There's a story in every song. Songs tell tales of long roads, longing and doubt, winding roads through Texas, the San Joaquin Valley, and the red clay backroads of Oklahoma. Especially Oklahoma.

Tim Penney writes the songs, sings lead, and plays guitars, lap steel and a bit of tenor banjo and mandolin; Mike Magor plays drums and percussion, and Mike O'Malley plays electric and upright bass.

The CD reflects the band's interest in historic American music. The trio format, and the emphasis on roots over glitz, and the mix of acoustic and electric instruments gives the music a directness and honesty.
