These 16 songs are a sampler of the sounds from Scott Garred... which covers almost ten years (1995-2003) of recordings. There are two songs from the forthcoming Super XX Man release, plus two songs that were only released on vinyl. Scott was the singer, guitarist, and songwriter of a band named Silver Scooter. Silver Scooter released three full lengths on the amazing Austin label Peek-A-Boo Industries plus a few 7"s and a great split ep with Cursive. Before, during, and after Silver Scooter, Scott was recording and releasing his solo music. Scott has put out a few of his solo releases (he calls them volumes) on Post-Parlo Records, Peek-A-Boo, and Lelp under the name of Super XX Man. Scott is currently performing under the moniker of Super XX Man. If you were to purchase this release you would be able to hear what Scott's music sounds like. If you go to the web site www.superxxman.com you might even learn where the name Super XX Man came from. So this sampler is a major marketing ploy by us here at Lelp Recordings to get people to know who Super XX Man is. And if you have read this far... well, it looks like it is working.
