Stone Walls was formed in 2004 by two singer-songwriter friends from New York- Chris Lynn, (vocals & guitar) and Steven Ossana, (vocals, guitar, piano, flute). Steven Ossana recorded and toured with Rob Rule who was on the Mercury label, as well as having produced three independent solo albums, just to name a few of his accomplishments. Chris Lynn has released two indie solo albums and has fifteen years of live solo performing experience. The two take turns singing lead and complimenting each other with harmonies as Steven plays lead guitar against Chris’s twelve string rhythm guitar. All other instruments on the album were also performed by either Chris or Steven.

Best described as soft rock, their debut disc, “Stone by Stone” (representing how the album was constructed) is a mellow blend of acoustic guitars and heartfelt vocals. The team have been collaborating for about ten years, even from coast to coast at times, resulting in a large catalog of tunes. The track ‘Be My Girl’ was recently a semi-finalist in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) which featured over fifteen thousand entrees from some eighty countries. Lyrically, Chris and Steven strive to deliver a message of hope and inspiration.

Stone Walls have been gigging in NYC since December 2004 while recording their album. They get a charge out of performing live. Their set list includes all of the tracks from the CD, (Steven even re-creates his dreamy, Native American inspired flute parts from ‘Autumn Leaves’ and ‘Everything in its Own Time’) as well as several well interpreted cover songs.
