Stolie's self-titled CD, released in December 2000 on her own label, Screaming Galaxy Records, displays her versatile playing style and singing abilities in ten original songs. Often compared to the likes of Ani DiFranco or Jewel, listeners who know Stolie's music well will claim that the sound is her own.

Percussive to melodic, sweet to crooning, Stolie's songs can generate strong emotions for any listener. "Mama" tells the story of a young girl realizing the importance of her mother's guidance while "Maybe I Might" describes the willingness to stay in what might not be the best relationship for the sake of soul satisfaction. (For more song descriptions, go to Lyrics.)

"Stolie" includes studio work, live recordings and 4-track home experiments. Most tracks feature Stolie solo with a guitar, though there is also an a cappella track ("Maybe I Might"), a piano song ("Table"), and a more fully produced version of "Inside the Guitar" including Lloyd Brodnax King on percussion, Katherine Lewis on viola, and Adam Yoffe on bass guitar. Stolie plays acoustic guitar, harmonica, piano, and sings vocals for all tracks.

Stolie's songwriting is remarkable...There is not one track that fails to deliver...It's easy to get lost in the music as her silky vocal delivery transports the listener to another place...Stolie manages to put every emotion from the lyrics into her delivery...The emotion-packed vocals and the music behind them blend perfectly. - Eric J. Olsen
