I am husband of nearly 7 years to the incredible Myssi Brown. Together we have 3 beautiful children: Jaden (5), Mya (3) and Levi (1). Together the four of them have taught me more about God as Father, Lover, Friend and Lord than I could have imagined. I will forever be thankful... I was born a poor black child... wait that was Steve Martin. But I was born a black child. Raised just across the river from Manhattan as the last of eight children, I grew up in NJ loving art, music and sports. I attended the University of Richmond (Va.) with a full shcolarship to play football & baseball. That is where I was first introduced to Christ, His love and His Word. That was 1990. My life was radically changed forever and I discovered a passion for music as I learned about Him and longed to worship Him more. Since then I have taught myself the guitar & keyboard, and have been fortunate to have the opportunity to worship in many different settings with many different types of people. This album hopefully reflects some of the passion & diversity I love about God & life itself. Beginning with a strong rock/pop feel, it introduces some strong thematic concepts in "I Surrender" & "When I Stand Still." If you like love ballads, "Someone Like You" may be for someone like you. Simple & acoustic driven I think you'll find something you want to move to & something you'll want to sit down & think about. I hope you enjoy listening!
