Zeb Gould hails from Indianapolis, IN. In 1999 he began performing as a solo guitarist opening for acts such as Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, and David Steele (The Esquires), Kim Ritchie, and various regional and local bands. In 2000 he and two friends formed the band Three On the Tree which released one self-titled album under the Bloomington, Indiana based alternative record label. Around the same time he also played guitar in the Bloomington based band, The Decanters. The band's self released EP, The Decanter's Happy Holiday, recorded at Steve Albini¹s Electrical Audio, was the only release by the band, which disbanded in 2002. His remaining time in the mid-west was spent working as a guitarist for various regional performers. Megan Weeder, originally from Princeton, NJ, began performing professionally in 1992 with Middle Eastern ensemble Salaam, and eclectic gypsy band the Japonize Elephants, both of which she co-founded. She played rock violin on tour with Dreamworks recording artist Kim Fox in 1995, and has since played onstage with John Mellencamp, Mary Chapin Carpenter, India.Arie and Sarah MacLachlan at venues such as Rockefeller Center, the Lilith Fair Tour and the San Francisco Jazz Festival. She played live on MTV, NBC, FOX and PBS, and has done several segments for NPR. As a studio musician, she recorded for several Indie labels including Secretly Canadian, Flat Earth and No Nostalgia, and for major labels RCA and Back Porch (Virgin). Eventually, the two joined forces and the band Stereofan was born. They recorded several records in Bloomington, IN at their home 4 track studio and played locally before relocating to New York City in 2003. After moving to Manhattan they wrote and recorded "Stain My Heart" which is soon to be released by Lelp Recordings out of Chicago Il. They continue to write, record, and perform in and around New York City.
