BIO:
From gritty and raw to smooth and polished, Sean Michael Mormelo's rich three-dimensional vocals will capture your attention. Sean began writing at the age of eight and performing at fourteen, influenced by such artists as The Beatles, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, and Van Halen. His sound is a mix of acoustic influenced rock that is heavy on the harmonies and has wide cross-over appeal. His musical style has been compared to such artists as Steely Dan, Billy Mann, and "Edwin McCain meets Santana", but still remains unique.

Born in New Jersey but Raised in Florida, his musical talent encompasses a wide range of instruments including vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion and drums. His songwriting styles range from Rock/Pop and Country to R&B, Dance/Techno, to Folk.

For the past twleve years, Sean has performed professionally in countless venues across North America, winning legions of fans from Anchorage, Alaska to Cancun, Mexico. Sean currently plays four nights a week in the West Palm Beach area. Sean's first solo album "Real" was released April 30th 2002 and has been an outstanding effort with rave reviews and impressive sales.

May 4th 2002, Sean Michael Mormelo with band, took the stage during SunFest 2002 at the Meyer Amphitheatre, opening for Edgar Winter. September 10th, 2002 Sean teamed up with 5 other regional artists at Ray's Downtown Blues in West Palm Beach for the groundbreaking 1st year of TourBaby, sponsored by CDBABY.com and Discmakers. Other accomplishments include showcasing at 2NMC in Nashville in October 2002, and a recent showcase for the USA Songwriting Competition in Lake Worth, Florida.

Upcoming plans are to continue playing regionally and move back to Anchorage Alaska in June 2003. Sean will continue to tour east coast venues, as well as attending conferences and showcases across the US. Sean's second album tentatively titled "Troubadour" should be hitting the streets by July of 2004 and will be coupled with a cross country tour. Want to hear Sean in a venue near you?
