Otis, "Chow Wu Lin" decided to change his name when he came to this country in order to show how much he appreciated his newfound homeland. As a tenant farmer in the Szechwan Province, Otis learned to yodel while listening to Voice of America recordings of Slim Whitman - which is why most of his relatives there can't stand him. Melvin Tweed, is a world-renowned ethnobotanist who, in his spare time, enjoys hunting wild Caribou in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, drying and preserving the meat and sending it to his long-time girlfriend Lily, who is now currently halfway throug a ten-year prison sentence at Sing Sing for holding up a bank with her pet boa constrictor Francois.
