The name OCEAN was an idea that I (Tim Griggs) had in early 2005. I chose this name because the music is mostly melancholy and relaxing (like the ocean). Though recently, OCEAN has taken on a new reputation due to our confidence and achievements. OCEAN has gone from a full band with a local reputation, to a 1 member act with little hype and a limited fanbase, back to 5-6 members with drive and an irrefutable reputation as a solid, passionate band. The “new†OCEAN has only been playing since Feb. ’06 but has so much drive and support that we’ve already filled some of the best venues in Little Rock several times. We’ve recently made lots of good friends and played with some kickin’ bands, such as Anxiety, Stone Mountain Crew, Lythium, etc. Keep an eye out for OCEAN.
