This tall Singer songwriter hails from New York City.
Son of Irish immigrants he began in
music first with the lyric, through poems and spoken word.
Developing his acoustic guitar playing late in life, At 21 Six 7 Kevin found his niche and began developing
a vocal style based on his early Rock and roll, Urban soul and reggae influences. From Bob marley to
James taylor, Aretha franklin to jimmy Cliff, Tribe called Quest to Led Zeppelin.
His songs are as diverse as his influences and resonate spiritual longing and hard won truths about the
life and love.
This album is his debut and Mullaney enlists Bassist
Tony Markellis (Trey Anastasio Band), Boston Based Drummer
Mike Migliozzi and New York City born rocker Torey Adler on electric guitar. The sound is raw and has it's own mood. Mullaney says:
"Basically we threw this down with a two hour live show rehersal. I was so nervous going into the studio knowing full well I could be pissing away all my dough but the second we started tracking I just knew it was allright.
These were the best players for the scope of this project. It was like family and we had a lot of laughs. My charts were basically in crayon and Tony walked me through my own changes and showed me how it gets done. With pride I say I worked with these guys on my first record. There's lots of sweat in this record. Also some bumps and warts to quote Tony. I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it."
