Kevin Case Kevin has recently released his first solo effort entitled: "for future reference" The 10 song set spans a wide range of musical styles and colors. From the anthemic INXS-meets-Green-Day first song "awake" to emotional ballads, glam-strutting on "starving", unusual techno-rock hybrids, zep-influenced power-blues riffing and back around to uplifting acoustic tranquility it's a musical rollercoaster that plays like your best ipod random mix. Somehow, Kevin manages to emerge cohesively still sounding like himself. This is one for the adventurous and will reward repeated listening with it's skillful guitar work, soulful melodies and textured multi-layered production. At the core is some solid songwriting which serves as a firm foundation for Kevin's ambitious sonic experimentation on "ffr".
