Kevin Two Sheds is an insensitive singer songwriter living in a house of finest timber, reclaimed from the recesses of his unsettled mind. He grows a wide selection of vegetables and can be seen mowing the lawns of those more wealthy than himself, dreaming of a better world, revelling in the one he’s in and writing songs about it. Kevin’s songs are witty, but poignant and often ridiculous. He is self-deprecating but (begrudgingly) optimistic. Subjects include dirty old men, late night snacking, new age gang culture, lazy anarchists, Felicity Kendal and falling in love in launderettes. His first album "Mark Knopfler Taught Me Everything I Don't Know" comprises 13 songs about the lonely, the bitter, the disillusioned – and depraved. It is set on Worthing Pier, in dingy bedsits, on allotments . . . and in a nudist colony. A dark comedy. To find out where Kevin’s playing, download songs, gawp at photos or read the diary, visit his website. INFLUENCES Kevin Two Sheds likes punk rock, The Velvet Underground, Half Man Half Biscuit and The Fall, but it’s the New York antifolk scene that has inspired him more than anything to get his act together after years in various bedrooms, living rooms, toilets and halls, strumming his guitar and dreaming of the slightly brighter lights. • Listeners have compared Kevin to Patrik Fitzgerald, Syd Barrett, Wreckless Eric, Jon Otway, Damon Albarn, Peter Cook and David Bowie.
