James Kappen is truly a RECORDING ARTIST as his self produced, played, and recorded debut album has showcased his creative songwriting and production talent. Being a multi-instrumentalist, James Kappen's Radiance is full of unique instruments, altered tunings, and the never ending search for the perfect guitar tone. If you listen closely, you can even hear sampled pool balls and screen doors interspersed with his ultra-catchy melodies and phrases. Radiance is a heartfelt collection of musical paintings that vary dramatically in color and shape, but are always backed by James' rich, and full vocals. The album was recorded by James in his home over the course of his high school years and he is currently putting together songs for his next album. When questioned about the source and inspiration of Radiance, James said, "My love for music and my love for God's truth were the factors that brought this first album together."
