All Genres > Rock > Acoustic > GUISHE: Candeia

The band formed when Guishe met Guishe in a performance in San Isidro, Peru, during which they played guitar together in the same person for the first time. They liked how their different personalities and sound blended, and they have been playing "Clay" in Guishe since.

Here is what other artists are saying about Guishe:

Review from Madison, Wisconsin:

"Polished Violent Femmes all grown up"

"...I am struck by the'feeling' of this tune [Lady], mostly due to the pure vocals...soaking with rich feeling... There are some tunes you look up at the time and wish it were done. This tune I look up and want more. That's exactly how it should be, leave 'em wanting more. The arrangement/format is perfect because of that. The instrumentation is very good...The drums really hold it together. I enjoyed the charm of this song, thank you!..."

Review from Lancaster, United Kingdom:

"Sleepy"

"...Is this supposed to be a sad song [Solitude]?... The music sounds quite happy, but the lyrics are very sad. The vocals are very soft, which i like, no anger there, just sadness. If i weren't straight, i could fall in love with this voice. basically, the best word for this song is beautiful, nothing is out of place, it is just exactly what i would want to fall asleep listening to. Just make the ending not quite as abrupt, and the peaceful nature of this track will be complete. Well done..."

Review from Manhattan, New York:

"Soft Spoken Vocals!"

"...The soft spoken vocals [Solitude] are comforting and contrast with a lot of todays 'In-your-face' styles. After a hard night of drinking, this would set a healing mood. This song would fit well with a soundtrack for a motion picture..."

Review from Gosport, Hants, United Kingdom:

"Take Me Away"

"...How refreshing to have something in another language at last!...a beautiful and intimate voice romancing my ears as well with touches of harmony to thicken.
Great intertwining acoustic guitar layers, all placed well in a simple mix....The ovelty value and musicianship just might win [fans]them over...All in all, a very pleasant listening experience that took me away from gloomy old England for a while..."

Review from Frankfurt, Germany:

"Ayeeee Ayeeeee"

..."Cool, it makes me want to drink lots of tequila and dance naked in church. Cool song and great voice...Very nice. Great job!..."
