Born in Canada in 1981, Claudia DiNatale found herself on a musical path early, when she began piano lessons at the age of six. At nine, she developed an interest in musical theater, and went on to capture starring roles in productions such as "Oliver," "Fiddler On The Roof," "Evita," and "Little Shop of Horrors."

When Claudia was 16, she started taking operatic voice lessons. Clearly, she was preparing herself for a life in music.

Still, there¹s no class in the world that can supply a naturally angelic singing voice, and that's exactly what DiNatale has. Reminiscent of such vocalists as Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, Claudia has a similar ability to breathe both power and delicacy into a ballad. But also like those legendary singers, Claudia is equally gifted with more rhythmic, modern, upbeat material.

It's hard to believe Claudia has ever had spare time, but she also excelled at athletics while growing up. Throughout grade school and high school, she starred at soccer, track and field, cross-country, volleyball, and basketball. She was even headed for a volleyball scholarship but tore her anterior cruciate ligament and required surgery.

"As unpleasant as those injuries were, I still believe that they injuries were a sign from God telling me to pursue singing," reflects DiNatale. "If I hadn't been hurt, the decision to pursue singing professionally would have been much more complicated."

Upon graduating from high school, Claudia did manage to collect several academic, athletic, and theatrical awards, boasted an A average, and was even recognized with her school's Student of the Year award.

"I concluded long ago that music really is a calling for me," she sums up. "It may have started as a hobby, but it's so much more now. I get energized from music, and I convey my own energy with music. It's that simple."

Claudia will be performing throughout Canada in 2004, so check out her web site and come on out to a show!
