The Pitch Weekly: "Acoustic guitars jangle, percussion toys rattle and the choruses are bigger than Sting's ego."

The Death of an Opera Singer
(21 Reasons' Story)

In Tulsa's eclectic music scene Scott Brown, a classically trained singer, meets a funk rock drummer, Marc Hudson. Marc quickly lures Scott away from his classical background into the tumultuous world of rock and roll. Together they form a band called the Generics and tour through out Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri. As time rolls on, the would be opera singer and drummer become restless with the band and the scene and relocate to Kansas City in search of a new musical challenge. They meet a fellow Tulsa native, Bryan Mace, a prolific bass player familiar with the Kansas City music scene and their brand of music. The trio then adds Steve Strong on electric and acoustic guitars and begins writing new material and performing as 21 Reasons in 2001. In late 2002 they complete their line-up by adding an explosive second guitarist Tony Trevino.

21 Reasons has been compared to such bands as Counting Crows, Train, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, The Dave Matthews Band and Better Then Ezra. Producing hook oriented, radio ready rock, the band is dedicated to creating distinctive music. The band has been busy winning fans around the Kansas City area by putting on shows with a relentless effort to play music with passion and creativity.
