"Buzzlighter" is an industry-only various artists compilation that is released bi-monthly. Music directors and music supervisors all over North America use "Buzzlighter" to find music for their playlists and projects. College radio stations add music to their playlists based on recommendations available in each issue of "Buzzlighter". CMJ (College Media Journal) New Music Report estimates, "...on any given week more than 1,000 artists attempt to chart." That's some hefty competition for airtime! But through Shut Eye Records and our "Buzzlighter" compilations, artists are getting the attention they deserve! We are now making these compilations available to the public!!! In addition to it's college radio significance, over 50 music publishers and music supervisors in the US subscribe to "Buzzlighter". Through this series of compilations, publishing companies are offering independent artists alternative revenue streams to the traditional "record and sell a CD" concept. "Buzzlighter" compilations are used for publishing companies and music supervisors to seek music for synchronization on films, TV shows, games and commercials.
