How to prove 2+2=4? Check out "...In The Ozone," the debut CD from Urban Sprawl, an exciting Southern California rock quartet comprised of singer Diane Buffington, guitarist-keyboardist Robert Scott, drummer Euqubud Mot and bassist Bret Breeze. Urban Sprawl hails from Orange County, California, a region sandwiched between San Diego and Los Angeles that has given rise to the likes of Korn, No Doubt, Lit, Sugar Ray and the Offspring. Not that Urban Sprawl sounds like any of those bands. Anchored by Diane's shining and expressive vocals, as well as Robert's brilliant guitar work, Urban Sprawl's trademark sound fuses melodic choruses and authentic rock edge carved out somewhere in and around the same sonic territory as Aimee Mann, the Pretenders and the Cowboy Junkies. "All of us have different tastes in music," explains Robert of the band. "All of us mesh our influences so well that we've created something that is all our own." Urban Sprawl's debut "...In The Ozone" features 14 songs written and arranged by the band. Highlights include the blistering rocker "Niagara," the whimsical "Yellow" and hauntingly beautiful "Caught Up In Gemini." Track List: 1. Niagara 2. Sacred Mountains 3. Turnstile 4. Caught Up In Gemini 5. Tunesmith 6. Playground of the Mind 7. Dying Nation 8. I Hear Laughter 9. My Favorite Color 10. Red 11. Orange 12. Yellow 13. Green 14. Gray Matters Suggested CDs:Other Genres:
