The band, "UNSTABLE," came together 6000 feet above sea level in the San Bernardino Mountains in southern California when three friends started collaborating on a unique style of music that included alternative rock, as well as soul-stirring ballads. Influenced by the music of their favorite groups, Staind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, and Deftones, musicians Joe Chrisman, James Bellis, and Josh Newman have tried to create music that combines rhythms, melodies, and lyrics that get to the heart and soul of their listeners.

Joe Chrisman, who plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and provides the lead vocals, is the creative force behind "UNSTABLE'S" unique sound. Composing lyrics and melodies since his early teens, Joe has compiled a sizable collection of original songs that never fail to move his audiences in unexpected ways. His rich and passionate singing style compliment his mastery of the guitar. His creative talents also extend to his artwork and photography, where he has won top awards for his paintings and photos. He designed the cover of "UNSTABLE'S" first CD, "the struggle".

James Bellis is "UNSTABLE'S" bass player and also provides backup vocals on a number of original songs, as well as on some of the group's favorite cover songs. He is a musician's musician, playing a wide variety of instruments including bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, saxophone, trumpet, and keyboard. He has collaborated with Joe on a number of the group's songs, as well as having designed the insert for the group's first CD. James has traveled the world, spent some time living in Mexico, and has mastered the Spanish language.

Josh Newman, "UNSTABLE'S" drummer learned his skills over the years from a number of drum teachers who each emphasized a variety of styles. He views this exposure to so many kinds of music as an asset in keeping him open to experimentation in the area of percussion. Josh feels that being able to read music gives him an opportunity to study combinations of rhythms which he can incorporate into the group's songs. His goals are to become as accomplished a performer as his favorite drummer from Blink 182 and to design a one-of-a kind drum kit to be customized by Orange County Drum and Percussion. Josh also contributes his creative ideas to the band's new compositions and adds his unique signature style which can be heard on "UNSTABLE'S" first and second CD's.

The band members chose their name "UNSTABLE" to reflect their change and growth as musicians. Consistently experimenting, "UNSTABLE'S" members are on their way to defining their singular sound and making a place for themselves in the world of music.

The band's music has been played over the year on Southern California radio stations. Music critics have given the band very positive reviews. The band members were featured in a number of concerts sponsored by a local alternative rock station and were introduced on stage by recording artists, "Alien Ant Farm." Unstable's newly released CD, "No More Lies" is a compilation of hard rock songs and softer ballads--always connecting with the listener. Their music will leave you wanting more.
