The three members of Quarter Inch Crown consider Flying Blanket Studio to be their birthplace. It was here that they recorded their loud, tight, and rude debut album, "Working with Amateurs", with producer/songwriter, Bob Hoag, who is anything but...

Guitar/vocalist, Troy.... bassist/vocalist, Jennifer Glenn, and drummer, Rodney Peralta spent a huge chunk of 2002 making the record. The result: Darker-than-pop, autobiographical times featuring growling, melodic guitar lines propelled by a rhythm section which pushes and twists and demands to be turned up LOUD!

This comes as little surprise to the bands always growing and always loyal following, not an easy group of people to impress. Which reminds me that The Crowns, live, is not an easy act to follow! Rod: Solid. Jen: Striking. Troy: Affable one minute, menacing the next. Too steeped in his own category to be categorized.

On the aforementioned debut CD you will find eleven awesome examples of what has been described on this page. But, don't take my word for it; as the great man said, "Let the music do the talking!"
