It was in the later stages of 1998 when the first incarnation of Halfway Broken set off on their musical pilgrimage. Combining their favorite elements of some of the more notable rock acts of the time, they were able to fuse them all into one emotionally charged package. While it could be the grooves that force you to nod your head along, or the smile from Mike Coomes, it is clear people are paying attention to their hard work. And it is hard work that has gotten them where they are at now. They already have several appearances at some of the more established local rock clubs throughout the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. area. Their ability/willingness to play shows in mass quantities has enabled them to sell over one thousand copies of their self-produced, self-recorded and independently released album, Life As It Seems. What does the future hold for Halfway Broken? No one can really say for sure. But with their unrelenting passion for the music they play and their overall desire to put down some honest work towards exposing their music and expanding their fan base, I would say good things are on the horizon.
