Inspired by Peter Jacobson as Jake Trout & The Flounders, "Great Golf Hits" takes golf parody songs to a new level. Raising the bar to create golf parody songs that are seriously golf and seriously fun! "Golf Story" songs born out of 38 years of playing, working and living golf. Song Notes ANY PUTT IS MISSABLE...This song is about a golfer who is a total basket case on the greens. He gets so worked up over putting that he hyperventilates and also gets that quizzy feeling in the pit of his stomach. SOME GUYS MAKE ALL THE PUTTS...about a kid watching the tour pros on TV and wanting to be a good player just like them. The chorus "some guys make all the putts" represents how the kid sees the pros. WHAT'S CLUBS GOT TO DO WITH IT...This golfer is always getting the newest clubs that come out hoping to get a better score. The female voice in the chorus is his conscience telling him that it doesn't matter what clubs he uses, it's his swing that's the problem. ANOTHER PUTT'S IN THE CUP...Tiger Woods coming on the PGA Tour as a rookie and pronouncing: here I am, I'm the best, I'm the one you've got to try to beat. I'M KINDA LAZY...This song is being sung by a tour pro ( Carlos Franco? ) who doesn't practice much but at night while asleep he dreams that he's practicing. SAVE THIS ROUND...when you struggle from tee to green you can still save your par and "save your round" and turn in a good score if you have a good short game. HIT ME ON THE SWEET SPOT... this song is sung by Tiger Woods golf ball: about how it feels to be smacked around the course by Tiger. I'M OUT OF BOUNDS...this poor golfer hits his tee shot out of bounds a lot. In the song he tries to figure out why. I'LL BE COUNTING TOO...This song is about the last two competitors in a match play tournament. As they start the Championship match one player tells the other; don't try any funny stuff because I'm going to be watching you like a hawk and I'll be sticking to you like glue...I'm going to count every stroke that you take.
