Vocalist, Songwriter, Guitarist and Keys Aaron Shea Broering was born in Garden Grove, California, and grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His musical background began at an early age; his father, Jeffrey Howard Broering being a drummer and his mother, Nancy Ann Minash being a keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter. His father was also a well-known surfer and influenced Aaron to spend many hours on the beaches of Southern California, which played a major role inspiring much of his songwriting. His mother was active in the music group at church, which helped Aaron develop his musical ear. In 1990, Aaron moved to Newport Beach, California, where he attended junior college and considered pursuing a career in baseball. In the fall of 1990, an injury seriously derailed his baseball dreams, and forced him to pursue other dreams. It was the moment that changed his life forever. Aaron changed his direction and focused on music. He began frequenting local coffee shops, and restaurants, where he sang and performed with various musical groups. He also began attending music classes, while driving two days a week to Cal State Fullerton for vocal lessons. In 1993, Aaron was accepted as a Vocal Major in the Music program at San Diego State University; where he began working on his Bachelor's degree in music. During his studies at S.D.S.U., Aaron began experiencing moderate local success with his music. While honing his vocal and compositional skills, as well as teaching himself guitar, he won the 1995 Homecoming Talent Show with his original song, "We'll Find a Way." The accomplishment was duplicated the very next year with the co-collaboration of a song called, "Innocent grandchild." Aaron and partner Julio Ferrari co-fronted the group Blue Heaven, which played in San Diego area until 1998. In his senior year at S.D.S.U., Aaron composed an orchestral and choral arrangement called "Wing and a Prayer," which epitomized the struggle and strife of loss. The composition was selected and performed in concert on May 16th, 1998, in Smith Recital Hall at S.D.S.U. It was acknowledged by his instructors and his peers as having commercial potential, but served more as a milestone of his musical and spiritual growth; yet more importantly served as an opportunity to pay his final tribute to his mother who passed away in 1997. In 1998, Aaron completed his studies at S.D.S.U., and continued performing professionally both nationally and internationally with various groups. Since that period, he has gained continual acclaim and recognition for his original compositions and live performances.
