The Mastermind behind THE GOLDEN GODS is billionaire philanthropist Col. Craig Heitkam.
Rumor has it that while at a 1999 Super-Bowl party in The United Arab Emirates, 'The Colonel', as he's known the world over, made a $19M 'gentlemen's bet' with Saudi Prince Al-Fizel. The two had been knocking back cocktails and began to have a heated discussion about the state of Rock and Roll during the Half-Time show.
The Prince is no slouch when it comes to being a rock fan (it surprises most Westerners when he pulls up in his Bentley cranking The Sea Hags or KISS), yet he was feeling the Zima and started going off about how "Rock eez DEAD... When DLR leave Van Halen, ROCK EEZ DEAD... no more good rock ant roll!!! Kiss take off de make up... ugh forget it! Maybe a couple good bands but no more REAL ROCK LEGENDS."
"Prince, eff you and the camel you rode in on!" The Colonel is rumored to have said (they're tight like that) "...you give me five years and I'll put together the GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER."
"No way Colonel, YOU TOO LAZY! I know you, You are not even a real Colonel!" The Prince countered, "but if you want me to take your money, fine! Like Allah says, 'EETS ALL GOOD'!"
With that the two shook hands, shared a hearty laugh and then really dug into the solid gold wheel-barrow full of cocaine that Al-Fizel has at every party.
Four years later, after scouring the planet for talent, 'The Colonel' returned to Al Fizel's place with a burned CD simply labeled 'Bitchin' 5 song Demo'. As he produced it from the breast pocket of his Ostrich skin jacket, he taunted his friend the Prince, "From the streets of London, the Cornfields of Iowa and the Gold Coast of California...they're sexy... they're ferocious... Here's a pen, now get out that checkbook and make one out for NINETEEN-MILLION-MOTHAFUCKIN-DOLLARS... IT'S THE GOLDEN GODS!". (to be cont.)
