The Coupons are a two-piece musical group. They were born in Portland, OR, in early 2005. The Termite, schooled in jazz and marching band machine gun styles, mans the drumkit. King Coupon plays the supro guitar, an old mexican flute he bought at Finnegans long ago, and sings songs about the end of the world, mostly.
The Coupons have played in public more times than they have practiced in private. They prefer the spontaneous, the ridiculous, the maniac creative off-the-cuff style.
From time to time, guests appear to compliment the Coupon sound. Trumpets, bass, and guest vocals share the spotlight. Wild dogs have been seen on stage too, with microphones duct taped to the tops of their heads. A concert blitz will soon spread. Another album is already in the works. There will be no love songs on it. That's a promise.
