The Carolines "Meet Me At The Marriot" is a 3-song peek into their upcoming third full-length release.
The band continues their quest to carve out a unique concept today; to sound like, well, themselves. In the opening track "Ooh Ooh Satisfied," they paint a great sunny melody perfect for the upcoming summer. With chunky riffs, those infectious "ooh ooh oohs," and that passionate scream at the end, The Carolines show they are indeed satisfied with not sounding like anyone but, themselves.
"Too Late" punches right in with the chorus before settling into the melancholy of the first verse. Aaron Trueb's delivery lulls the listener into what appears to be a love song until they realize he is singing about the ending of a relationship. An audio version of the proverbial sugarcoated bitter pill.
Track three, "Good For Me," finds The Carolines opening things up a bit, much like their live shows. There's just enough space for each of the five talented musicians to showcase without showing off. And that ends up being good for all of us.
