It seems a world away from that sleepy Californian town where it all began. With thousands of miles on the clock, hundreds of honky tonks and a year down the line, Mick, Jose and Big Ed can now be found tearing up stages across the globe. From frozen Finland to atom-hot Nevada, hell-hot barns to uptown bars, these fellas can hick it or slick it at the flick of a switch. With their newest release the boys bring it on home and kick their shoes off.

Mick Cocksedge (rhythm guitar/vocals) flirted with fame fronting One Track Mind but a near miss with cabaret and he was history. Ex Sugar King Boy Jose Espinosa took his bay-area smash 'Tip-top' to an international audience, but since that chance encounter at the drag strip he hasn't looked back. Big Ed Potter (show-offy guitar) sold the little green he had for his trusty Telecaster and things really began to swing.

The Cordwood Draggers second disc on El Toro records showcases some of the finest rockabilly music this side of '56. Recorded completely live in no time at all at the now infamous Sisterbelle Studios - London Branch, these boys stick to what they know best; tall tales of hot rods, hotter women cool beer, and doing wrong.

Their bop fuelled rocket-ride to stardom has only just begun and with a disc of this calibre, and judging by the early response, this rocket ship is gonna ride.

El Toro Records Boss Carlos "Diddley" Diaz say of this disc "I knew from the first I heard if it that it was going to be smash it. I bopped, I strolled - I fell down drunk with excitement."

Mini Dave (their almost drummer, and well known impressario) follows "The power that comes from this Trio is like an ad for nervous tension. When I think of I get sounds like ZOOM! And POW! It comes on with a blip like a battle ship. Big on the Radar screen."
